If your practice already runs its daily workflow on Orthalis, activating the DentalMonitoring integration removes the busywork that normally sits between the two tools. Create a patient once in Orthalis and their DentalMonitoring record is created at the same time — no double entry, no cross-platform searches, and no transcription errors creeping in when names or dates get re-typed.
For an orthodontic practice the pay-off is tangible: start, pause or stop aligner and remote monitoring straight from the Orthalis patient card, pull every DM scan into Kitview alongside the rest of your imagery, and drive your appointment workflow from DM's clinical notifications — so a deformation of the arch detected on a remote scan can turn into an appointment request that lands in Orthalis and, if you use Dentapoche, is booked by the patient themselves. Activation is included at no extra cost on the DentalMonitoring side.
Overview
The Orthalis integration connects Orthalis with DentalMonitoring so patient data, monitoring actions and clinical events stay aligned between the two platforms.
- Patient creation: create new patients in DentalMonitoring directly from the Orthalis patient card.
- Patient pairing: match existing Orthalis patients to their DentalMonitoring profile.
- One-click patient access: open a patient's DentalMonitoring record straight from their Orthalis file.
- Monitoring controls: start, pause, resume and stop monitoring from the Orthalis patient screen, with quickstart and scan-frequency selection.
- Clinical notifications in Orthalis: DM clinical notifications that you flag with a code land in Orthalis as team instructions, and drive appointment requests — bookable directly by the patient if you use Dentapoche.
- Scan retrieval in Kitview: every DM scan is retrievable in Kitview alongside the rest of the patient's imagery.
Prerequisites
- A DM API Key. If you have not done so already, generate your DM API Key.
Setup your Orthalis integration
Activation is done during a short onboarding video call with your Orthalis customer support representative. There is no additional licence to purchase on the DentalMonitoring side.

On the call, your Cx Orthalis guides you through generating your DM API Key on your DentalMonitoring account, then shows you where to paste it on the Orthalis activation screen.

Cx Orthalis retrieves your Orthalis Id Docteur and the Id Cabinet for each of your practices and emails them to DentalMonitoring support at support@dental-monitoring.com.

DentalMonitoring support enters the Orthalis IDs into the matching practitioner and practice accounts on DM. Once this is done, the gateway is operational on both sides and Cx Orthalis walks you through the integration.
