If your practice already runs its daily workflow on Cloud4Ortho, connecting it to DentalMonitoring removes the busywork that normally sits between your patient card and the patient's DM record. Patients are created in DentalMonitoring in a couple of clicks from Cloud4Ortho, existing patients are paired once so they stay linked, and the DM record is one click away from the patient card — no more double entry and no more toggling between tabs to prep a review.

The Cloud4Ortho integration connects Cloud4Ortho with DentalMonitoring so patient data and clinical communication stay aligned between the two platforms.

  • Patient creation: create new patients in DentalMonitoring directly from Cloud4Ortho.
  • Patient pairing: search for and link existing Cloud4Ortho patients to their DentalMonitoring profile.
  • One-click patient access: open a patient's DentalMonitoring record straight from the Cloud4Ortho patient card.
  • Integrated chat: DentalMonitoring chat messages are delivered to the Cloud4Ortho inbox, and you can reply to patients from inside Cloud4Ortho.
  • Workflow automation: trigger Create patient in DM, Send patient activation code and Stop DM monitoring from the Cloud4Ortho workflow engine, either manually from the patient flow or automatically as part of your treatment stages.

Prerequisites

Setup your Cloud4Ortho integration

The integration is activated from the Cloud4Ortho App Store and then configured per staff member:

  1. Open the App Store from the Cloud4Ortho menu and turn on the Dental Monitoring extension.

  2. In the Dental Monitoring configuration screen, link each staff member who will use the integration to their DentalMonitoring profile. For each practitioner, enter their DM Doctor ID and paste their DM API Key into the dedicated fields.

Cloud for Dentist

Cloud for Dentist shares the same core software as Cloud4Ortho and is integrated with DentalMonitoring in the same way. The orthodontic-specific features on the patient card (such as the NHS metal-braces module) are not available on Cloud for Dentist, but the Dental Monitoring extension, patient pairing, chat in the inbox and the workflow actions all behave identically.
