The 3Shape integration allows to import 3D Scans you have taken of your patients directly into their DM Patient Card.
Requirements
- The scan needs to include both the upper and lower arch in occlusal view.
- To import a case from 3Shape into DM, the case must be shared with a third party within the 3Shape platform.
This could be a lab, another clinic, or any other organisation in 3Shape. If you do not intend to share a scan with a third-party but you need to import it into DM, DentalMonitoring has placeholder Lab in 3Shape you can share cases with, see below.
Connect with DentalMonitoring in 3Shape
Note
You only need to connect with Dental Monitoring in 3Shape if you need to import STL files into DM which haven't been shared with a lab or manufacturer in 3Shape.
In the 3Shape store, search for "Dental Monitoring" and click Connect. The connection request will be automatically approved and you will be able to share cases with DM.
Cases shared with Dental Monitoring are not automatically processed
Sharing a case with DM in 3Shape only makes the case available to the integration, it does not automatically "send" the case to the patient card.
You still need to import the STL files from the DM patient card.
Search filters
With this integration, you are able to filter cases by:
- Date range, specify a start and end date
- Patient name
Frequently Asked Questions
Why can I not find a case ?
Make sure your filters do not exclude the case your are looking, be especially vigilant with the date filters.
Check that the case is shared with a third-party in 3Sahpe communicate, cases that are not shared with a third party are not available to the integration.
Why is the case I want to import greyed out in the results?
The case is missing either the upper or lower jaw, or it does not include the occlusal view.
